We’re hiring our first Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help us take the business to the next level and lay the foundation of our SDR Org. This person will be responsible for building relationships across the industry, uncovering new business opportunities, and producing qualified leads to the Sales Org.

This is a super exciting opportunity to make a big impact at an early stage retail tech startup, work closely with the CEO and founding team, and quickly evolve into a closing role at an organization that is disrupting the retail industry through better technology.

Location: In person in Brooklyn, NY is preferred, but open to remote candidates.

As the first Sales Development Representative, you’ll have to think on your feet to manage changing organizational priorities in a startup environment, while never losing sight of the activities that help you generate qualified leads. You aren’t afraid of rejection and you’re willing to put in the hard work required to prospect new leads and find opportunities. This is not an easy job, and the most successful SDRs are those who work to better themselves every day. 1+ years SaaS Sales Development experience Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle time effectively Positive, high-energy, can-do attitude, coachable


Retail industry experience/knowledge (especially merchandising/planning) Experience in content creation (blogs, social media, marketing etc)

What You’ll Do

Spearhead growth and adoption of Toolio within the retail industry through building relationships with leading brands and key influencers Uncover new business opportunities - calling into executives at brands the caliber of Brooklinen, Bonobos, UNTUCKit - and introduce them to the Toolio platform through creative outreach techniques and strategies Understand the client’s challenges and needs and become an expert to how Toolio can implement best practices to their organization to save them time, reduce errors, and enable them to make faster, data driven decisions Work closely with our Account Executives to close business, continuously focusing on the development of your sales skills. Learn the intricacies of sales processes: quotas, pipeline management, selling and ultimately closing techniques. Support the Growth team in creating sales material including email templates and campaigns, marketing documents, case studies, and enablement material

About Your Manager

With deep experience in the retail and tech industry, I joined the Toolio team from NetSuite where I sold cloud ERP to the fastest growing brands and retailers in the US. I am extremely passionate about retail, and have spent years building my industry knowledge and network in order to help brands, retailers and the supporting ecosystem of technology providers to become leaders in this ever-changing industry. Beyond retail, I’m even more passionate about mentorship and career development, so I’m excited about the opportunity to share my expertise, knowledge and network to help rising stars in the retail/tech industries excel in their own careers.
