As a member of the Sales team, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for outbound sales prospecting and attacking marketing leads. Rather than trying to close deals, the SDR will be responsible for generating and qualifying new leads for the company. The SDR will be equipped with the tools that will allow them to research and target prospects for WANdisco. In this role, the main ask will be to book quality meetings that lead to quality opportunities for WANdisco. 

 

Key Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets
  • Ability to make 35+ cold calls a day and to help overcome objections and issues
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers/leads to continue relationships
  • Experience in generating leads and/or selling within the IT sector preferred
  • Ability to work marketing leads in a timely manner and help create pipeline based on the leads provided
  • Well-versed in WANdisco products and solutions
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization

 

Description

  • Answer questions about WANdisco and our solution
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage with/work with Key Account Directors (KADs) for next steps
  • Identify prospective customers/leads that could benefit from WANdisco solutions and products
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
  • Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems/issues
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers/leads to continue relationships
  • Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred
