ShipEngine Sales Team : The goal is to identify and close enterprise level customers.
Strategic Imperative
In the Enterprise Sales Development role, you will identify high value eCommerce accounts using research techniques as well as an account-based approach to prospect and set meetings for our AE’s. This role requires the candidate to solve difficult problems unconventionally, willingness to learn new skills, and persevere through adversity.
Primary Objectives ( 3-7 key focus goals/ core areas of responsibilities of the position ):
- Enterprise Sales Development Reps will prospect and qualify high value clients to set meetings for our Account Executives.
- Prospect, qualify and develop leads into sales-ready opportunities
- Document all activities in our CRM system to ensure efficient lead management
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new opportunity generation metrics
- QualificationsProspect, qualify and develop leads into sales-ready opportunities
- Calling Prospects/Answering Prospect Calls
- Emailing Prospects/Responding to Prospect Emails using Outlook
- Target company/contact research
- Establish and build rapport with prospects via telephone and email
- Successfully manage and overcome sales objections to develop interest
- Transform all received leads into qualified sales opportunities
- Research target contacts and accounts
- Document all activities in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management
- Capture accurate and complete prospect information.
- Salesforce Activity Notes, Lead Stage change and Opportunity builds
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new opportunity generation metrics
- Meet or exceed daily call and email metrics.
Essential Position Duties ( typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives ):
- Efficiently manage a pipeline of 150 leads
- Generate 15 meetings set (Sales Accepted Leads - SALs) with Enterprise level businesses per month
- Identify potential prospects of a deal size of $15-20k+
Required Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study a plus
- Minimum of one (2) years experience as a Sales Development (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR).
Skills And Knowledge
- Heavy outbound sales calls
- Excellent telephone and personal demeanor
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to uncover prospect pain points and identify solutions
- Ability to overcome objections
- Goal oriented and self-starter
Computer/Software/Application Proficiency
- Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Slides, Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Working knowledge of CRMs (Salesforce preferred)
- Working knowledge of Windows PC Environment or Mac
Travel Requirements
- Less than 5%

- Utilize wrist and hands for a prolonged period of time
- Walk short distances
- Stand for short periods
- Speaking and conversing with others
- Lift up to 25lbs without assistance up to chest height.
